About Us

Steve Hunter works with organisations to build solutions around asset lifecycle information management. Integrating engineering content with asset information, his expertise is in designing systems to add value and expose documents and data to the enterprise. Whether managing the project lifecycle or transitioning to operations and maintenance, these solutions deliver this information in context and place it in the hands of contributors and consumers.

Onset Design was established in 1989, with a focus on product integration and document management. Today Onset works with a diverse group of engineering clients to deliver engineering content management representing industry best practice. Steve is based in Melbourne.

Marco joined Onset in 2010 as a professional consultant specialising in the implementation of the Accruent product suite. With broad experience managing and implementing both Infrastructure and Business Systems, he can discuss how your ECM solution will integrate within your current or planned environment and is backed by a Diploma of Information Technology & Project Management.

Marco is based in Brisbane and is one of only twelve consultants in the world with the status of Certified Specialist with Accruent.

Aaron is a Business Consultant and acts as the primary contact for a number of Onset Design’s Accruent sites. Working with the Accruent product range for several years, Aaron has been engaged as a senior technical consultant with Innov8 and as an IT specialist with Demat, both based in Newcastle. Aaron holds Accruent accreditations with the Meridian, Publisher & Explorer product suite, in addition to a number of IT certifications. Aaron is based in Sydney.

Damien joined Onset in 2017 after a long and varied career in information management. He holds the rare Meridian Certified Specialist accreditation and works with organisations for the entire project lifecycle to help find solutions and relieve their pain.

Damien is based in Brisbane but would prefer to be in the ocean.

Sean has worked with Onset on a part-time basis since 2008 and joined the company full-time in 2010. In 2009 he graduated from Swinburne University with a degree in Professional Software Development and provides strong programming support to the team. With a primary focus on .NET, the role incorporates a range of web-based, scripting and database technologies. This technical depth assists in the delivery of tailored Accruent and Autodesk custom solutions. Sean is based in Melbourne.

Jawad joined Onset in April 2017 and has a Masters degree in Information Technology. Jawad’s primary focus is on .NET development with a number of years with web based business application development using Microsoft Technologies including ASP.NET MVC, C#, JS frameworks, MS SQL Server. He is also interested in Hybrid Mobile application development and is based in Melbourne.

Michael is an experienced software developer with more than 15 years of experience and a strong background in computer science. With a primary focus on .NET, the role incorporates a range of web-based, scripting and database technologies. Web development incorporates ASP.NET MVC, Web API, C# and MS SQL Server. This technical depth assists in the delivery of tailored Accruent and Autodesk custom solutions. Michael is based in Melbourne.

Jason achieved a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University, before moving across to Swinburne for Computer Science. He started with Onset in December 2021 to join the development team in the Melbourne office.

Neda joined Onset in December 2021 as a software developer and has a Master’s degree in Information Technology. She has two 2 years of experience in web and mobile app development with a primary focus on object-oriented programming. She has a passion for technologies including ASP.NET MVC, Web Api, PostgreSQL, and testing. Neda is based in Melbourne.

Dianne Duncombe joined as our office administrator in 2021. Di has over 20 years experience working in Admin & Accounting, is a registered BAS Agent and a member of the Tax Practitioners Board. Experienced in managing the business compliance of a number of commercial organisations, including large retailers, Di looks after our accounting and administration tasks.

With responsibilities including regular ATO reporting (BAS, IAS, PAYG), as well as managing payroll, expenses, and superannuation, Di does a brilliant job of ensuring our office runs efficiently.
